Why is it everytime I drive by the KK, I have to stop by and get a dozen, "just in case"?

These things are evil. Guaranteed to kill a diet, they taste sooo good when fresh, but the next day, wow, what happened? The sugar coating begins to melt, get gooey, and the donut part doesn't taste the same.

And anyway, is it me, or do the donuts have a funny fat aftertaste? I don't remember the old days when after eating a krispy kreme donut that there was a funny slimey, just not right mouth feel. I wonder if they are using some sort of hydrogenated artificial oil that used to be different in the old days.

And that is another thing, why can't we have food taste the way it used to? Why have all the companies gone and changed their formulas? Save on costs? Make it politically correct?

Bah, humbug! Food makers suffer from the same problems as the rest of American society. I bet a man or woman could make a million bucks if they got the original recipe for things like hostess cupcakes, twinkies, ding dongs, and made them like they used to.

Even Oreo cookies have the funky slimey mouth feel now. The filling used to be sooo good. Now, it tastes like an artifical goo.
