Wheelchair Getaways works closely with The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) in the development of continuing education courses for Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants. Wheelchair Getaways offers an introductory level home study course for Occupational Therapists: Wheelchair Accessible Transportation (for .15 CEUs). The course provides information on evaluating patients? transportation needs, types of adaptive equipment, and payment sources for vehicle modification and/or alternative transportation services.

The same course is available as a live presentation. Live presentations are typically scheduled 2 months in advance by calling the Director of Continuing Education at 800 536 5518. Cancellation of live presentations must be made at least 5 days in advance.
