Anaheim, CA

Anaheim is one of the best places to go with grandparents. There are so many things to do in Anaheim, whether you are an avid sports fan, a fan of live music, an adrenaline junkie, a self-described foodie, or a beer connoisseur.

Explore Disneyland Resort and experience Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Adventureland, and Star Wars: Glassy Edge. You can also enjoy fireworks at Disneyland After Dark. But if, for some reason, you want to skip Disneyland, then don’t worry—Anaheim is much more than Disneyland.

Try a variety of international cuisines at the Anaheim Packing District. Sample award-winning craft breweries at Centre Street Promenade. The Golden Isles, Georgia

The Golden Isles are a group of four beautiful barrier islands nestled on the coast of Georgia. Saint Simons Island, Little Saint Simons Island, Jekyll Island, and Sea Island are all part of the Isles. Its golf courses, beaches, shopping centers, incredible restaurants, and sea turtle rehabilitation center make it an ideal place to go with grandparents.

Explore the wild, diverse, and scenic beaches. Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island, with its striking “skeletons” of sea-weathered trees, is an ideal spot for your instagramm-able photos. If you and your grandparents need some solitude, Little St. Simons Island, with seven miles of private, undeveloped shoreline, is perfect for you! Or, if you are up for an adventure, seek out tree spirits on St. Simons Island.

Don’t forget to stop by the Georgia Sea Turtle Centre, which is not only educational but also the only sea turtle hospital in Georgia. This hospital not only teaches visitors about sea turtles but also allows them to visit their rehabilitation tanks, making it a one of the awesome places to go with grandparents.

Sarasota, Florida

Sarasota, Florida is a slice of heaven in the United States. And that alone should persuade you to take your grandparents there!

Let’s start with the beaches. Each of Sarasota’s beaches has a distinct character and beauty. At eight miles long, Siesta Key is one of the world’s most beautiful beaches. Additionally, many of Sarasota’s beaches provide first-hand experience with marine life. From collecting shark teeth at Venice beach, the shark tooth capital of the world,  to seeing turtles, sea life, and more at Lido Key and Longboat Key, there is something for everyone at the beaches in Sarasota.

You should also visit Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interact with marine life by touching stingrays, sharks, and many more. Apart from the sea animals, Sarasota is rich in wildlife too. In Jungle Gardens, you can get a glimpse of flamingos and feed the turtles and alligators before petting the animals at the petting zoo. Sarasota is, undoubtedly, an ideal place to go with grandparents.

Yosemite National Park, California

Yosemite National Park is the Sierra Nevada Mountains’ crown jewel. This breathtaking alpine landscape is the perfect place to make some lifelong memories with your grandparents. From ranger-led nature walks to rafting down the Merced River, the possibilities for one-of-a-kind experiences are limitless.

Simply driving into the valley and being surrounded by massive mountains and waterfalls nourishes the soul. When you are there, make sure you see Yosemite Falls and Glacier Point.

There are numerous accessible trails in Yosemite Falls, such as the Lower Yosemite Falls loop. If you’re concerned about the distance, stops like Mirror Lake and Happy Isles let you drive the entrance road as long as the handicap placard is visible.

Glacier Point is a spectacular mountain peak that offers panoramic views of the valley below. It is accessible via the park shuttle and is an excellent place to learn about how Yosemite Valley formed. When you are going there, just follow the wheelchair-accessible paths because some of the other paths are quite steep. We promise you the views are well worth the effort required to get there.

There are tons of other activities to do here. Just stop by the Yosemite Visitor Center and learn about everything they have to offer. But regardless of which activities you choose, Yosemite will be a memorable trip for all of you.
